we are neurons

a neuron listens and speaks
it makes a statement of existence
in a network.

they only speak,
when they
have something
to say,

and they have
something to say
when they see
enough people speaking.

neurons build trust.
over time the ones that
are always talking
when you're talking
become trustworthy
and when you don't see
what you're trying to see
you can always turn
to your friend.
yet because of variance,
and because every day is new,
who we trust most
becomes more accurate.

yet we can only respond to
who we see
and those who can respond
must see us.
and that makes this behavior
limited.

and once we go beyond
what we can control
our behavior
becomes abstracted.

a neuron listens and speaks,
making a statement of existence
in a network.

the network sits
suspended in
three dimensional
tissue space.
communications
become curves.

thought is a knife that carves
every stroke sculpting
a world beneath
and that world can be seen.

it is the whole,
and it is seen.
because some of us
are in groups that see
less of more.

and when we speak,
our declaration of existence
indicates tides.

in observance
of what one can see
up here, after all,
we act while
expecting and
predicting
rewards.
in the form of wanting,
we connect streams,
and water pools.
and these pools
guide movement
because muscles
are slow, like pooling.

we are neurons that
listen and speak,
making a statement
of our existence
in our world.
