There are some things that arise
more frequently than others.
at least there is structure
to our universe.
it is these patterns
that allow
by probability
structures to form.
structures form
because
some things persist
because
they never experience
the things that would destroy them.
yet existence is not meaning.
structures advance
because
while they are not destroyed,
they may change
into either:
something that will be destroyed less
or
something that will be destroyed more.
we can only know which
when it happens.
and by what?
who knows.
we only know existence
as memory
assumes too much.
